Akron Cats Need Your Help! Free-roaming cats in Arkon (those include both feral cats and cats with homes) are in trouble! The city recently passed a law outlawing free-roaming cats in that city. As of this writing, over 240 cats have been picked up and euthanized under this new law! We feel there are far more humane ways to deal with the situation Akron faces, including TNR (trap-neuter-release) programs for feral cats and low-cost spay/neuter clinics for people who cannot afford to have their cats altered. Please help overturn this misguided policy by visiting the Save Our Cats website and sending e-mails, calling, and/or writing letters to Akron officials. On behalf of the cats, thank you!
