These three photos are copyright Wendi Patrick (). Since I designed the website, I get to use pictures of my own kids, right? The top left is Sebastian, aka Boo and sometimes Boo Boo Man. He's going on 14 (gasp!) and I've had him and his brother, Morrisson, since they were kittens. Both were diagnosed with FIP and my vet at the time suggested putting them down. I opted for aggressive antibiotic therapy and they are both quite healthy all these years later. (Needless to say, I switched vets!) In the middle is Venus, the pricess of the house. She was a stray we picked up in Santa Cruz, California. She was skin and bones when we started feeding her, and got so fat so quick we thought she was pregnant! She turned out to be just a Maine Coon, known for being "undertall." On the right is Boris, our baby. He's about eight months old but nearly as big as Boo. He is as bratty as bratty gets, but actually I just think he's quite a smarty-pants. He gets into absolutly everythig and loves to play with Roxy, the dog. He still has issues around being left alone, since his former family locked him either in a garage or outside when he was a little kitten. He likes to give lots of kisses, too, especially to Boo who does not particulary appreciate them! |
This
is Humphrey, formerly known as Leonardo in a past life. He was adopted by
Jeff Liptak, who also happens to hold the copyright on this photo. Humphrey
was our very first adoption through Petfinder!
He's a real cutie, and I loved this photo so much I decided to use it on
the website. I think it's a perfect example of how cats really are
people, too! You can read all about Humphrey in the April 2002 issue of
"Cat Chat." |

These photos were all taken by Jan. The beautiful lady on the left is Sonia, and the sweet guy in the middle is Dewey. They are both formerly homeless cats adopted through our Luv-a-Pet Center. The rather large girl on the right is Sophie, Jan's cat. She was brought into the shelter at just a few days old. She needed someone to care for her round-the-clock for a while, so Jan became her foster mom. After a very short time, however, she realized she had become her permanent mom! As you can see, Sophie is very contented! |
